All the same, you’re going to want to find the right range for you.

Besides, not all ranges offer the same things.

Some ranges are suitable for some archers, others not as much.

Some accommodate particular needs or have services that may make one more practical than another.

So, I decided to pull together a list to help you identify where is best for you to visit.

Perhaps more importantly, to help whittle down your search and give you some options for contacting before you even arrive.

So without further ado, let’s begin!

E.T. Seton Park Archery Range

Located in the E.T. Seton Park, you will find this highly regarded, free to the public, archery range.

The target butts at the archery range are made from Natural Tentest, (a wood pulp material), although you can bring your own if desired.

The distances are set at 20 yards, 30 yards, 50 yards, 60 yards, and 70 yards – so there is a lot to offer here depending on your experience level and proficiency.

While you do need to bring your own equipment, there is a great community feel to the range. Where everyone from beginners to Olympic athletes train.

This is a terrific spot to shoot and practice archery; being surrounded by the beautiful scenery of green forests. You can even hike along the Don River on trails – observing a wide range of wildlife along the way.

Archery enthusiasts bring their own equipment to this public spot with practice targets.

“This is a great place you can go for archery and practice shooting any type of bow (but no crossbows) it has many targets at different distances and it’s free and open to everyone. You need to bring your own stuff so be careful not to lose any arrows because if you miss the target the arrows will go into the grass and it can be hard to find it in the field.”
