Are you a Torontonian looking for an archery range to shoot at? Perhaps you are on a trip and want to fire some arrows along the way? Maybe you want to organize an event or party – there’s those too.
All the same, you’re going to want to find the right range for you.
Besides, not all ranges offer the same things.
Some ranges are suitable for some archers, others not as much.
Some accommodate particular needs or have services that may make one more practical than another.
So, I decided to pull together a list to help you identify where is best for you to visit.
Perhaps more importantly, to help whittle down your search and give you some options for contacting before you even arrive.
So without further ado, let’s begin!
Shooting Academy Canada Ltd
The Shooting Academy is a highly respected range that offers various shooting services; from archery, air/bb gun all the way through to knife throwing.
In regards to archery, you’ll struggle to find a better place to learn archery in Toronto.

These are available to anyone ages 6 and over.

And better yet, all equipment is provided.
If you want to just shoot at the range that is available to the public too!
Recurve, Olympic, Longbow, Compound, Horsemen, or Crossbows can be used at the range
You can either do this as a once-off or get on a membership plan for long-term savings and regular use of the facilities.
The Shooting Academy also offers a range of services, such as bow repair, retuning, and restringing.

E.T. Seton Park Archery Range
Located in the E.T. Seton Park, you will find this highly regarded, free to the public, archery range.
The target butts at the archery range are made from Natural Tentest, (a wood pulp material), although you can bring your own if desired.
The distances are set at 20 yards, 30 yards, 50 yards, 60 yards, and 70 yards – so there is a lot to offer here depending on your experience level and proficiency.
While you do need to bring your own equipment, there is a great community feel to the range. Where everyone from beginners to Olympic athletes train.
This is a terrific spot to shoot and practice archery; being surrounded by the beautiful scenery of green forests. You can even hike along the Don River on trails – observing a wide range of wildlife along the way.
Archery enthusiasts bring their own equipment to this public spot with practice targets.
“This is a great place you can go for archery and practice shooting any type of bow (but no crossbows) it has many targets at different distances and it’s free and open to everyone. You need to bring your own stuff so be careful not to lose any arrows because if you miss the target the arrows will go into the grass and it can be hard to find it in the field.”

As the name suggests, Shawn’s Archery Instruction is a small, independently owned archery service based in the heart of Toronto.
Anyone is welcome to shoot – whether you would to do so for fun, compete in leagues in competitions, or to simply join a community of archers passionate about the sport.
Perhaps the most notable and valuable component on offer, is the archery training that Shawn (the owner provides).
His training style is widely respected and appreciated by his students.
Shawn offers coaching to anyone at any level; and offers both individual and group coaching based on preferences, skill, and needs.
“I’ve been a student of Shawn’s for 5 years, and Shawn is a great coach and mentor whether you are going for a one-time beginner lesson, or interested in weekly coaching sessions. His classes are affordable and his equipment is in great shape”.

I live in Alberta, Canada where I enjoy indoor and 3D archery with traditional bows and compound bows. On this site, I share everything I’ve learned about archery along the way.
