Sacramento often gets overlooked by California visitors because cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles are more populated and popular with tourists.
However, this bustling city is a fun place to visit, with many exciting opportunities.
For example, there are many archery ranges throughout Sacramento where you can practice your skills.
These include private clubs that require membership, as well as public and even free ranges where you can go any time you want.
Other clubs offer educational options, including beginner’s lessons and advanced shooting courses.
They may include practice ranges, broadhead targets, 3D targets, and much more to give you the immersive and exciting experience that you want and deserve.
Let’s take a deep look at the many fantastic ranges throughout Sacramento to give you a better idea of what to expect.
Each of my mini-reviews will highlight what makes a range interesting and include important information, such as contact details and hours.
Deborah’s Mobile Archery Range
Deborah’s Mobile Archery Range is a high-quality archery experience taught by Deborah Rodriguez, a Level 3 instructor through USA Archery.
She has many years of experience and holds training experiences for young and older shooters, working to improve your skills no matter your experience.
Rodriguez works part-time with her club and is a Spanish teacher by trade, and runs an archery club in her high school.
Her mobile archery range can travel to various destinations and provide you with a unique shooting experience, no matter your level or skill.
Note that this range operates periodically throughout the year, usually holding a few training courses every month.
That means that their hours can be limited unless you call them and set up a training session.
They’ll ensure you understand what is necessary and sign you up for a class.

ArrowTech Archery
ArrowTech Archery is primarily a manufacturer that provides high-quality arrows for archers throughout the Sacramento area.
However, they also provide help with sighting in your bow and can even provide a limited range time for people who visit the shop.
ArrowTech carefully produces all of its products from the shaft to the tip, ensuring that they’re smooth and efficient in the air.
Their range includes a few simple targets you can use to help give you a better grip on how their arrows work.
So, while this manufacturer is primarily a great provider of bow and arrow products, they can be an excellent option for sighting your bow as well.
Contact them about your needs to learn more about range availability and any other information necessary for your shoot.

“I have been shooting ArrowTech AK 300 for two years now, and I can say, hands down, these are the best elk hunting arrows on the market! If you are an elk hunter and have not tried these arrows, you’re missing out. These are the hardest-hitting arrows I have ever shot. The technology in these arrows is unlike anything else on the market. I was a competition shooter and have been bowhunting for over 30 years.”

Discovery Park Archery Range
If you want a no-nonsense archery experience, Discovery Park Archery Range is a great option.
Located in beautiful and sprawling Discovery Park, this range is a simple one that requires no membership fees, registration, or scheduling times.
At this very simple range, you can shoot at hay bale targets at various ranges to practice your skills.
You are welcome to bring 3D targets if you like, though the park doesn’t provide these targets.
You may also want to bring a backdrop to support your shooting experience.
The nice thing about Discovery Park is that you can go boating, fishing, camping, and even hiking after you’re done shooting.
That makes this an excellent destination for people who want to get more out of their experience.
You simply have to pay either a parking or camping fee to shoot.
