What are the best archery ranges in Aurora, Colorado?
Aurora, Colorado, is a beautiful city located just outside of Denver. Home to the filming of the classic 1979 movie, “Over the Edge”, this busy town is nothing short of exciting.
While you may not be able to film a movie in this town, you are sure to find some great archery ranges to get your practice in! No matter what you are looking for in an archery range, Aurora, Colorado has a range for you.
To save you some time, I have put together this list of the best archery ranges in Aurora, Colorado. Some of the archery ranges are not exactly in Aurora but are in the surrounding areas in very close proximity.
Here is a quick snapshot of the ranges I will be speaking about today:
- No Limits Archery
- The Family Shooting Center at Cherry Creek State Park
- Empty Quiver Archery
- Bear Creek Archery
- Quick Draw Archery
No Limits Archery
While this range is not right in Aurora, Colorado, it is the range with the highest reviews on Google. For this reason, it’s at the top of my list for the Best Archery range in (Or around) Aurora, Colorado. Its exact location is here.
They are partnered with many popular bow brands, like PSE and Matthews. This shows that these high-quality brands trust them and want to be associated with them, and that says a lot to me.
They often have archery events, like 3D archery tournaments. They have an indoor range, featuring 38 lanes at 20 yards and 8 lanes at 30-40 yards. The outdoor range has sight in bales out to 100 yards and during the spring and summer, they have a 20 target outdoor 3D range open during daylight hours.
If you or someone you know are just starting out or need some help after being out of practice for a while- they have on-site professionals that can help you.
They will help you find the right bow that works for you, as well as show you how to correctly use it and work with you to sharpen your skills.
This is a big one in my opinion because I know that when I first started out, I felt completely lost on whether or not I was using the right bow, if I was holding it right, etc.
They have archery leagues as well. They offer both a 3D archery league, as well as a Spot league.
Regarding hours, they are open 7 Days a week, with the specific hours as follows:
- Monday – Friday 10am- 9pm
- Saturday 8am- 5pm
- Sunday 10am- 5pm
They are closed on major holidays and Sundays throughout the big game hunting season.
Reviews
My findings from Yelp Reviews said the following:
- Very wide selection of bows to choose from
- Has a great shop for working on your bow and accessories
- The owners are great
- Staff helped me fix equipment on my bow, super helpful.
The Family Shooting Center at Cherry Creek State Park
Located at 3800 S Parker Rd, Englewood, this archery range is open to the public and is perfect for families. It is conveniently located inside the state park, so it would be very easy for the entire family to plan a day of fun together. They currently have 3.5 stars on google.
They are a “full-service outdoor range” according to their website, and would be great to take the entire family in for some target practice. They have a 10-position, 50-yard archery range. Note that they encourage safety while in the range (as do I!) and require that eye and ear protection are required at all times.
They serve hot food on-site, as well as frozen custard during the warmer months to keep you cool.
It does not appear that they offer any trained professionals to help while you are at the range, at least none that are free. They do offer paid classes, however.
They have great hours- open 7 days a week! No matter the day, you have no excuse for why you can’t practice your archery form anymore!
Not including holidays or inclement weather, their current hours are:
- Monday – Friday: 10:00 am to 7:00 pm
- Saturday: 9:00 am to 7:00 pm / Sunday: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
They have events, so planning a visit around that time would be a great opportunity to have the full experience of the range.

This range offers a 20 yard, indoor archery range with 38 lanes. Since they are indoor, they are able to stay open year-round. They have a youth program, so they are perfect for those with families who are interested in archery.
They also offer classes for beginner archers, 3D archery, and more. Whether you want to advance your skills, or just shoot and enjoy, this range has something for you.
They are also open 7 days a week. They are open to the public during the following hours:
- Monday – Saturday: 10:00 am to 10:00 pm
- Sunday: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Bear Creek Archery
Bear Creek Archery Inc is located here, in Englewood, CO. Their indoor archery range features about 16 shooting lanes, that go up to 20 yards. According to their website (which can be found by visiting this link), they have something to offer to everyone.
Whether you are an experienced archer or the most novice- they have staff members that can help you. They also state on their website that they can special order equipment for your bow.
This makes for a great one-stop-shop.
They have a shop right inside the range, and sell the best compound bows, traditional, and recurve bows. They also have trained professionals who can answer questions, and help you work on your bow. They can make repairs to your bow, or just make simple adjustments to your peep sights and string.
They do offer group classes and have games as well. If you don’t have a bow yet or want to try a different type of bow, they have some you can rent during your visit.

Quick Draw Archery
Located here in Littleton, CO, this range seems to be the farthest away from Aurora, CO. However, don’t let that stop you. They have so much to offer, including kids birthday party venue rentals!
The indoor range has plenty of room, and their website says that they take pride in being a clean, comfortable, and inviting location. There are 24 shooting lanes, and each range goes out to 20 yards.
Just like many of the other ranges we talked about today, they offer a full-service prop shop, where experienced staff can help you set up your bow, watch you shoot, and help you make adjustments to your form if needed.
This range is open daily, except only classes, are available on Mondays. Otherwise, they are open in accordance with the following schedule:
- Sunday: 11AM-3PM
- Tuesday-Thursday: 11AM-8PM
- Friday: 11AM-6:30PM
