Utah is known for many unique things, including its beautiful landscapes. Outdoor adventures are never far away in Utah, such as exploring vast deserts, checking out amazing mountains, or even taking a dip in one of the largest salt lakes in the world.
Perhaps that’s why Utah has so many fantastic archery ranges throughout the state where you can practice your skills and even site-in your bow.
Whether you’re an active bow hunter or you just like target shooting, archery ranges are a great destination.
They let you practice your skills, improve your aim, adjust your bow, and even rent the equipment you may not get elsewhere.
Thankfully, Utah has some of the coolest and most fun archery ranges you’ll ever visit and is a great place to go if you’re a long-term archery fan.
Let’s check out some of Utah’s best archery ranges and highlight what makes them so great.
We’ll take a trip to a fantastic state park, visit some archery shops that also provide rentals for their archery range, and much more.
We’ll also check out what makes each range unique and include information, such as their operating hours and so much more.
Rockport State Park
Rockport State Park is one of the largest and most beloved state parks in Utah. Its expansive range includes many beautiful acres and camping areas, as well as a 3D archery range.
This three-quarter-mile trail includes nine different archery stations with several archery targets and a practice area.
Each station has different targets and distances that you can use to practice your skills.
These stations also include different target types that emulate animals you may see in the woods.
This gives Rockport State Park a unique feel that makes it enjoyable for hunters and outdoor people.
Park rangers carefully maintain the stations, including cleaning up lost arrows and other debris careless archers may leave behind.
One of the best things about this range is its low price. It costs just $15 to get into the park, and the range itself is free.
You can also use the range if you are camping at the park or have an annual pass.
There are no rental options here, and the range is not staffed, meaning you have to handle it yourself.
While the park itself is open year-round, the range is only open from April to October.

“This is an absolutely beautiful place! Me and a bunch of friends met here with kayaks and paddle boards, and it was fantastic. The views were great, the water was cold, and the sun was shining. Generally, I never expect much from bathrooms at state or national parks, but I gotta say, these bathrooms (pit toilets) were some of the cleanest I’ve ever seen.!”

Easton Lake Archery Center
Easton Lake Archery Center is an excellent option for people learning about this wonderful sport.
It includes youth and adult programs that help teach you the basics of this sport.
It also includes a class that helps introduce you to archery and its unique experience.
This beginner class touches on safety and handling a bow and is a great first step for people just trying archery out.
This center also hosts multiple competitions, including the NFAA 5-Spot and the 2022 Easton Salt Lake Archery Center Shooter Of The Year events.
These are great options for people who want to show off their skills or even win awards for their competitive abilities.
Entry fees will vary based on the competition and the year, as inflation may increase some rates.
Visitors can choose between several membership options, including hourly rates, regularly open shooting passes, and even long-term memberships.
They do rent equipment here, which is great for those who have minimal archery experience.
I suggest this range for people who are just getting into archery and who feel like they need a little help finding their way.

Wilde Arrow Archery
Wilde Arrow Archery is an indoor shooting range that is probably the best place to go if you’re on a tight budget.
You can shoot all day for just $8 or just $2 if you plan on shooting paper targets.
Younger people can shoot for just $5 for the day.
The large range gives you plenty of shooting options, as well, which makes it great for people of many skill levels.
Beyond paper targets, you can also shoot 3D targets and even compete in shooting leagues.
Archery classes for beginners and experts are available for just $20 and are taught by professional archery experts.
Even better, there is an attached archery pro shop where you can buy equipment, tune up your bow, and even buy other gear for your hunting expeditions.
In fact, if you buy equipment to use at the range, they offer free check-ups, tunings, and even equipment recommendations for your needs.
These services make Wilde Arrow Archery a great option for people from just about any level of archery experience.
Note that it lacks outdoor shooting areas, though the expansive indoor shooting range is big enough for multiple people.

“This place is amazing. They are so helpful and will walk you through everything. A lot of other businesses in Utah could learn a lot from these guys. The staff seems to enjoy their job and it shows in their customer service.”

DATUS Archery Club
DATUS stands for Devoted Archers True Utah Sportsman, which gives you an idea of how serious this club is with its archery.
Their inexpensive yearly membership gives you access to 3D shooting courses and indoor ranges where you can practice your skill and improve your aim.
It is designed to be family-friendly and includes free memberships for family members under the age of 18.
Even better, you can join target leagues for free and extend that benefit to your family members.
That encourages even broader membership and makes this club a very active one.
It has an engaging social scene with multiple events each year, including competitions.
These include the 3D shooting league, which members can join by paying a discounted fee.
As a private club, you can go to DATUS whenever you want by using a passcode that grants you entrance to the facility.
I strongly recommend this club to more serious archers or those who want to join an extensive social scene.
It is an excellent choice for people new to Utah and can help you meet a broad range of exciting new friends.

I live in Alberta, Canada where I enjoy indoor and 3D archery with traditional bows and compound bows. On this site, I share everything I’ve learned about archery along the way.
